Special Dividend

A Special Dividend is a capital distribution to shareholders. Regardless of the existing dividend schedule or policy, a special dividend can be issued to reconfigure the private company’s balance sheet or alter the private company’s leverage ratio. This can be done from existing cash deposits or from newly issued liabilities.
