SEC Form S-1 is the name of the Securities and Exchange Commission that is required to be filed by a company before an initial public offering (IPO) of securities. The form requires full disclosure to investors of its financial position, income statement, business operations etc., as well as a complete description of the security being offered and terms of the sale.
