SEC Form 8-K
SEC Form 8-K is the name of the Securities and Exchange Commission form on which a public company (or private company with publicly traded debt) must file to disclose any significant change or event to investors. Examples of events that require an 8-K Form to be filed are: a merger or acquisition, bankruptcy, departure of key executive, or notice of delisting. The SEC requires an 8-K be filed within four days of the occurrence of the event.
