Alternative Assets

Alternative assets are any non-traditional assets with potential economic value not be found in a standard investment portfolio. Due to the unconventional nature, valuation can be difficult. Equities, fixed income and property where exposure is normally achieved via “bought” (long only) positions. Yet, alternative assets may be active or passive.
