This year’s International Women’s Day theme is “gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.” With that goal in mind, we’re celebrating the women VCs promoting sustainable futures as founders of trailblazing climatetech venture firms. Check them out below and follow them on LinkedIn.

 🌱 Sierra Peterson and Sarah Sclarsic are the co-founders and managing partners of Voyager, a climatetech venture capital firm out of San Francisco. The duo is fascinated by all things DAC (direct air capture) and fermentation, believing both are crucial for sustainable advancements.

🌱 Dawn Lippert is the founding partner of Earthshot Ventures, a seed to Series B venture platform founded in 2021 and already a partner to 150 climatetech startups. The firm recently invested in Planet FWD, a carbon management platform seeking to reduce the environmental impact of consumer products.

🌱 Amy Duffuor is a managing director of Azolla Ventures, a venture firm focusing on “gigaton scale climate impact” technologies. She’s also one of very few Black female venture capitalists. The firm's portfolio includes lithium extraction company Lilac Solutions and energy consumption innovator Via Separations.

🌱 Buoyant Ventures is a Chicago-based early-stage venture firm founded by Allison Myers, formerly a growth manager at IT firm Accenture. The firm has invested in flood insurtech company, FloodFlash, and supply chain transparency platform SupplyShift.
